FRED CROOKS, CPA
MANAGING PARTNER
Fred Crooks is currently the managing shareholder of CPA Corporation. He has more than more than 35 years of experience as a CPA providing accounting, tax and consulting services to a wide variety of businesses and nonprofit organizations. Earlier in his career, he worked for the national CPA firms of Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton prior to founding CPA Corporation in 2001.
His passion is helping entrepreneurs develop and follow through with best-in-class procedures to run their organizations at optimal efficiency. In addition, to measuring and monitoring standard dashboard metrics like profitability and cash flow, Fred is driven to support his clients with dynamic and sustainable businesses strategies that will help set them apart from their competitors.

Fred received his Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1989 and also holds bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and finance from Brigham Young University. He was awarded the title of Master Advisor from the Center for Enlightened Business following the completion of a rigorous two-year program.
Fred and his wife Jennifer are not only the parents of three children, but they also have been blessed with eleven grandkids. The current score is seven boys and four girls. He enjoys competing in endurance athletic events and has completed several marathons as well as a full Ironman Triathlon.
WILLIAM SIMI, CPA
MANAGING PARTNER
William Simi has more than 30 years assisting businesses and other organizations develop greater success and profitability. In providing business advisory services, Bill believes that great service begins with good listening – “At CPA Corporation we begin every engagement with a conversation and our first priority is to listen to our client’s concerns and issues”. This discovery process through which we identify the problems and challenges that are unique to the client’s situation is what enables us to craft a solution that truly meets the client’s needs and accomplishes what is most important to them.”
As a Certified Public Accountant he has provided a wide range of accounting, tax, audit and consulting services to a diverse client base including businesses, nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies. His extensive experience includes expertise in all areas of accounting, audit, financial reporting , taxation of business entities and exempt organizations, the design and evaluation of internal controls and business processes and strategic performance management for both commercial and nonprofit organizations.
Bill has served on the boards of various charitable and professional associations and is currently the treasurer of the Impact Foundry (formerly the Nonprofit Resource Center) an organization dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations and businesses work together to become successful social entrepreneurs.
MIKE GIOTTO, CPA
SENIOR MANAGER
Michael Giotto has more than 20 years of experience in providing accounting, tax and payroll services to a diverse client base which includes nonprofit organizations, real estate developers, retail and service businesses. He was certified with the California Board of Accountancy in 2007. He takes a particular satisfaction in helping businesses and organizations grow and thrive on matters of accounting, tax planning and financial management. His clients use him as a sounding board in their decision process and appreciate his insight.
Michael has been with CPA Corporation since 2004. Previously, he worked at Crawford Pimentel Corporation in San Jose, CA for 4 years. He graduated San Jose State University in 1995 with Bachelors of Arts degree in Business-Accounting. He has been married to his wife, Michelle, since 1997 and has two children. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and sporting activities.
